"Driving for Surviving" Melanoma Golf Tournament The Foundation will not be holding a golf tournament and silent auction in 2011, but we still welcome your donations to help us "touch a life." On November 21, 2009, The Ashley Fister Cole Foundation held its 7th annual Morning at the Movies fund raising event. The film shown was Planet 51. Due to the closing of our usual venue, this year, for the first time the event was held at the Reston Town Center. Although the location was different, the enthusiasm was high and over 200 people came out to support the cause.

Thanks to the donations from Panera Bread, Einstein Bagels, Dunkin Doughnuts, Safeway, Giant, Harris Teeter and Starbucks, we had a well stocked snack bar that was crowded from the moment the doors opened until the last person left. It successfully raised almost $500 which contributed to the overall total of $2,887.

Proceeds will benefit the Life with Cancer Melanoma Support Group.

Thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this event great!
